Another Trip Around the Sun
🌹 WineDown Wednesdays w/ Yours Truly 🌹
Hey hey hey welcome to Wednesday! How is your week going? Mine is moving along, but man, what a weekend!!! It was jammed packed as I celebrated another successful journey around the sun, and my middle daughter's Debutante journey finally came to an end. It was a beautiful event, with everyone dressed to impress. What was most impressive was that this class of debutantes raised over $500K!!!! WOW!!!! What a class, and my daughter was truly honored and blessed to be a part of it.
I can honestly say my middle daughter surprised me this weekend! She came home from her dinner party with a slice of one of my favorite cheesecakes.
And then that Saturday morning, she brought me a coffee AND she was my chauffeur. Although I am not sure if the chauffeur part benefited her or me because there were a couple of stressful moments...... I always thought my mum was being a little dramatic when she would pump her imaginary brake from the passenger seat, or cling to the door handle as if her life depended on it.....Now I get it. She's not even a terrible driver; she is just a little loud behind the wheel, which she does not get from me, lol.
My youngest has proved she is truly her father's child. Mi Amor's mother has one of the funniest stories about him when he was a kid. You will have to dig waaaay back in your childhood memories, but remember the JCPenney catalog that was super thick, and filled with all kinds of items (toys and games for kids) you could order for the holidays? Well, when he had the opportunity to present his chosen items, it was a full-fledged casino! He had marked all the different casino gaming items in the book, plus a detailed room blueprint to turn his room into a casino, with bouncers (his brothers) included........ my Baby Cakes has this same spirit. Not only has she turned my living room into a store before and was actively selling items, but she has now cold-called multiple bookstores and has officially sold several bookmarks to them!
She's truly remarkable, and I really need to get on board because the kid has plans and is taking active action. She was very nervous, still is, but she went in with a game plan and executed it flawlessly and has now made some money to reinvest back into her business.
I am not sure if I shared anything about The Four Agreements, which is the last book I recently finished. I started The 5 Types of Wealth, but I must not have read my available days correctly on Libby, because the next thing I knew, it was rudely snatched from my Kindle app, so now I'm reading The Power of Positive Thinking, lol. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed The Four Agreements; my biggest takeaway was not to take things personally. I know I am an empath and can very easily pick up on emotions, but I have to remember to listen past the words, find the need, and move us towards a solution. I am still a work in progress, but getting better every day.
